ECSTRA Training course on community management in Granada

In the spring, from the 16th to the 20th of May, a training course on social community management took place in Granada within the framework of the European project ECSTRA: Employability Competencies for Students Through Implementation and Recognition of Activities.

The course, whose participants came from the universities of Vilnius (Lithuania), Jean Monnet (France) and Granada, aimed to work on topics such as non-formal learning and recognition of the skills (acquired throughout courses that provide added value to the participants’ curriculum), among others. It was held in Espacio V Centenario, one of the University of Granada’s most important headquarters and home of the Vice rectorate of Students.

Specifically, this course worked on the skills related to the figure of community managers (i.e. leaders of associations). Thanks to the different group dynamics that the professionals and other speakers organized with the students (both under and postgraduate), all participants had the opportunity to learn from several professional and personal experiences that were shared there. All students who successfully completed the workshop received a certificate accrediting its duration and the knowledge acquired.

Simultaneously, professors and members of the different participant universities had their transnational meetings in the framework of the project, and interesting future paths were agreed upon to deepen the pursued goals.

Overall, it was a week full of work and action, but where free time was also found to discover the city of Granada and enjoy its cultural and social life.
